MONTBRISON-SUR-LEZ

The site has been inhabited since Roman times, but there are numerous remains of the medieval town: ruins of the fortified village and the castle of Vialle, a priory in the style of Cluny, the church of Saint Blaise (eleventh century) and the castle of Pontaujard which controlled passage along the Lez river at the time.

To see: The old village. Marked paths and reliefs of cobalt oxide (which can be used to make blue glass), a geological phenomenon of the region.
