CHANTEMERLE-LES-GRIGNAN

The village was built on the north flank of the limestone plateau of Rouvergue.

One can no longer make out the original shape of this fortified town.  The chapel of Saint Maurice, which probably dates from the twelfth century and became the parish church in the fifteenth century, was probably standing at the time of the original town.

To see: The chapel of Our Lady of the Graces built in the fourteenth century.

The site of numerous rock formations and "bories" (huts made of local stone) on the plateau of Rouvergue.
